I dont think its so strange that people would use this opportunity to inform others of the foolsihness of not having medical/accident insurance. I'm pretty sure everyone knows the costs of hospitals ( thus the need for accident insurance )
Would you be a bit cynical if you went to a local restaurant and they asked you to donate money to help an employee who was hurt at work by the restaurants negligence and they didnt get their employees insurance ?

It seems to me , that helping out people who need it the most would be the priority , most people just wanted to know where nikki fit on that list thats all. If bill gates was your best friend and was hurt in the same accident would you donate to him ? of course not, so most people on gfy dont know nikki as she doesnt post here, so they just want to make sure she needs it more than any other shmoe that might need it.
I hope she gets better , i hope she gets insurance and i hope if she gets in a financial situaution that requires our help , then we can help her in any way.
I think adam went about some things in the wrong way , but when something bad happens to someone you love , you often act irrational, so i dont "blame" him, i wish there were more "adam's" around when bad things happen.
