Hector Babenco makes the best Brazilian movies. Pixote is a better favela story by far. It is hard to find- it costs about $100 on eBay- but it is worth it. |
That's what I liked about City of Men, that it gets more into stories in the favelas and doesn't just center so much on the crime story.
