Hey Rob,
I owe you an apology. 18 years of riding and showing horses, I never saw one horse fall backwards due to being spooked and someone pulling hard on the reins. I did a google search and it seems very common.
I guess I have to thank my parents for all the money they spent for my trainer?in the ring most of time; I rode bareback and using a halter.
