Recourse for what? Your time in front of the camera? No offense, but I hate this kind of shit. Every girl and her mother wants a website and wants someone to do it for them..blah blah. I have calls every freaking week from someone who knows someone I know who wants me to do a website for them for a percentage. No thank you. The model shows her tits a few times and that's the end of it for her. The real work comes in designing the site and promoting it. Traffic is way more valuable to me than time.
Anyhow, he didn't make any money from it.. we're presuming.. so you didn't lose any money from it. The time your site wasn't up doesn't count because you said yourself you couldn't hire someone to do it, so you wouldn't have had a site anyway. Consider yourself lucky you learned to do things for yourself so early on and don't expect things handed to you in the future.
And yes, make sure you can legally use the pictures. The photographer has the legal right to use them.. sucks, but that's the way it goes.
