Well, I don't mean to argue with you about it - but... hypnosis is just like a ouija board - it only works because you want it to work. People believe they need some type of external to make them achieve the desired end result.
If you need proof I suggest google. There is a TON of research that proves that adult vocabularly is used in so called "regression" into childhood, that weightloss and quitting of smoking is only achieved by previously motivated people who needed to lose responsibility for themselves and instead blame it on a mystical notion called "hypnosis".
So, in your case Jayeff, you prolly are just in this last category.

Are you also a fan of tony robbins, et al?

I don't know where you get your "proven fact" from, but hypnosis has worked for many people in many different situations. If you want to get tricky about how/why it works and claim that doesn't really amount to hypnosis, I might possibly agree with you. But that doesn't change the reality that the process commonly known as hypnosis often does help.
