The people that own this complex also own 2 hotels. One in Cancun and one in the Cancun Hotel Zone. My best friend who stayed here is the brother-in-law of the owner and also the interim manager (manager now that the senior staff has been fired from all locations) and he also owns the hotel bar. We didn't stay here, we went to Merida.
I sometimes act as administration at this building to a certain extent, mostly when something goes wrong, but I am not paid. The people wanted to elect me as the actual administrator but I don't think I want that job.
That's how all of the people from here were at the hotel/shelter and how we got the electric crew set up with a room and showers.
It was an adventure for sure, and I will never forget it, LOL.
Now .. dealing with the car insurance people, THAT's another adventure in itself with them asking me to produce forms that don't even exist and other fancy non paying hoops, LOL. Typical.
