Keep in mind this president has not been in office but just over a year. Now, do you honestly think that 1 man has this much control over the entire government that he can do this single handidly? I think not. The economy was going into a slump well before he took office. Think about it. Look at all the big companies that have had to re-file their books with the SEC because for YEARS they have been lying about their books, why? Because the economy was slipping, we hit an apex at the stock market and there was no where else to go but down for a while. This was all happening before George W. Bush.
Now look at what has happened, we had a war, interest rates are down , yes unemployment is up, but this isn't Bush's fault. Blame all the big companies that are laying people off because of Sept 11, even though it had no affect on their business. Look at airline companies losing thousands of people and their service is just gonna get worse. I think that Bush is doing a good job considering all the crap that has been thrown on his plate in the last year. He has had to deal with an American Tragedy, a conflict and possibly more to come, the economy and everything else. This is more than the last president had to deal with.
Now we can get into a huge argument about politics and usually I stay away from these threads, but wether you are Democrat or Republican, use your brains a little bit and think about all the things that have happened, how long it took for this stuff to start and take place, and you will see that it wasn't this 1 persons fault. He is doing the best he can, not to mention look what political party really has control of the reigns at the moment, it's not the Republicans.
