And if you suddenly start offering suggestions... Keep in mind the French have a very nice way of "Not seeing anything they don't like."
So traditional letters, petitions, sit-ins, etc won't work out here. They would just be ignored.

That said, the rioters need to be caught and punished. Period. If France isn't able to do that, then that's their problem. If they need help containing their problem they can ask for it, I'm sure several of the countries named in the title of this thread would happily lend a hand.
