If you read closely at the writing, it says that it will bill $1 to your credit card, and it will refund it.. Listen to this it's good AS A IFRIEND 1$ CREDIT well i don't know... And also i hear alote of stories that some people get billed without a warning. Hmm how can they stay up in business doing that?
Here is what they say excatcly on the sign up page
---------------------
Your Basic iFriends Membership is FREE: Your credit-card information is required only to validate the integrity of your account information, and as mandated by Federal Law (Communications Decency Act and Child Online Protection Act), as documentary evidence that you are of majority age and/or sufficient maturity. YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED ANYTHING without your consent. However, our credit-card processing company will validate your credit card with a refundable $1.00 transaction. This amount of $1.00 will be returned to you in the form of a credit to your iFriends account, and is automatically applied toward any premium service on iFriends, such as one-on-one private sessions or premium live videochat access. Information for internal verification purposes only and is not shared with any outside party.

they've been doing this for years now.....and you just noticed? it's a good way to make sure the credit card is good....I'm sure they also count on a lot of people not using that $1 credit on their membership...and they DO have a disclaimer....
Tri-cams does the same thing.....
nothing wrong with it, imho
