Read Houdini's bio - "The Man Who Walked Through Walls" by (1959)William Lindsay Gresham. A large part of his act was illusions.
Many of the tricks Mindfreak does are straight outta that book. The stunt where he swallows the pins and thread and pulls them out all threaded is Houdini's. The woodchipper/coffin was a variation of Houdinis. The helicopter stunt was a spin on Houdini's inverted suspension straitjacket stunts he performed from office towers.
The book describes in minute detail how the coffin stunt is done. Its a forehead slapper once ya' read it.
