A fellow webmaster joined my site, then charged back. What to do?

A little advice from the legal/moral/family/medical advice board at GFY is appreciated.

Alysha and I chatted with a fellow webmaster and his wife on a swinger's website a few months ago. We talked about doing a shoot together, and/or meeting them for dinner, etc. since we're only about 45 minutes away.

Well, the next day they joined our site. I immediately refunded their card and kept their access going to the site. I emailed them to let them know this. I did, however, forget to turn off the recurring billing, so his card rebilled 30 days later. I am the first to admit my fault there.

Needless to say, he charged back the rebill shortly afterwards. When I received the chargeback notification, I emailed him right away and asked why he did this. His response was they didn't know it was us. Fair enough. I asked if he would call his bank and have the chargeback reversed, and I would issue a refund instead. He said he would. After waiting and waiting and waiting for word on the reversal I emailed him again through the swinger's site. He said he would get around to it. Another week went by, and I sent another email. They were out of town for a funeral, he said, and would do it on the Monday when they got home. Another week went by, and I sent another email... and another. No response. Now, through the swinger's site I sent the emails through, you can tell if the person has even opened the emails (he hasn't). You can also see the last time the person has logged in, which they do daily. So, they're basically ignoring my emails now.

Now, I don't understand why a fellow webmaster and his solo-girl model wife would do this. Should I just chalk it up as a lesson learned? Perhaps join their site and charge it back? Maybe get a dozen of my friends to do the same? What would you do?
