HIT THE CAREER CENTER AT YOUR COLLEGE FIRST!
You need to attend job fairs, start making connections, look into internships etc. from your first year at school.
You can go to college for four years, get a degree and walk out of college with no idea where you're going or what to do. It's all about the career. Of course I'm making some assumptions here, maybe you know where you're going already.
