I would say $20 / day guaranteed is a good deal for a foreign webmaster to lock in $ for stuff he's already doing. The key here is efficiency and the ability to use that extra $20 which is about 4x the daily minimum wage in some parts of SE Asia/Eastern Europe as additional capital in building income generation systems.
I'm just saying its not as ludicrous as it sounds...in a foreign setting. But its a tough sell to US/Canada/European webmasters.
