I went to college for Radio Broadcasting at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and had a radio show for a while at a few different stations.
When I started the 2 year course, the radio station at the college still ran off of cd's and commercials on 8 track. I single handedly got them onto a computer network system where songs and commercials were played digitally.
It's the best job in the world in my opinion, however a little whlie in the real world made me realize that I just don't have the patience for it. You can pull 18 hour days and only get paid for 8 hours at minimum wage every single day for years. Unless you get a morning or afternoon drive show in a decent city... you will make squat in radio.
So I jumped ship and got into website development.
I still miss it though
