I mean, having to drive, on city streets, that are busy and full of people who drive way to slow or way to fast, to get from one end of a city to the other, is bullshit. Every city (well, every big city) I've been to in the US has had highways that make getting around a fucking breeze. ARGH!!

That's the other part of my argument. You can drive through most US cities, even the smaller ones, at 70 mph withought having to get off the interstate. Not in Canada though. Most of our cities make you drive around them on a bypass, but if you want to go through town you're reduced to regular city streets.
Ug.
If our city planners were still alive I would vote to have them all shot.
