I remember back in the 90's I was at the office in Manhattan and I was talking to a friend who was the manager or something for the group Digital Underground. One of the rare hip-hop groups I actually liked. I asked him if he was pals with Tupac and he said no cause he didn't want any parts of, "that life threatening shit!"
No sooner said than done, a few hours later it was quiet in the streets and in Manhattan late at night you can literally hear a guy yelling blocks and blocks away. I heard a faint "pop pop" like sound and thought nothing of it. Later I found out it was Tupac who got shot that night. Fucking unreal!
100 years from now they'll look back at these days like we look back at the old wild west.
