it is a fact that a reasonably fit attacker who begins running at someone can cover a distance of 21 feet before you can draw a weapon and fire accurately. there is a drill in law enforcement called the tueller drill which demonstrates this... so as far as her hand on the gun, i can understand that.
as to why she would not allow you to push your car off the road, i have no idea.
as far as the verbal abuse, she was out of line. newbreed prolly forgot about that part when he put up the $100 bet. because that would be a violation of procedure due to the fact that you werent being too terribly beligerent, and the verbal assualts on her part may have upset you further, escalating the sitchy-ation.
i dont hate cops. i respect the job they do... i know cause i went thru 2 years of schooling for it, and did a few ride alongs... cops deal with lots of shit. think about it, if poeple werent being fuckin stupid then cops usually wouldnt be having to deal with them (except with normal stuff like traffic related contacts)... but thye are expected to be professional no matter how much shit they deal with... that is one of a few reasons i decided being a cop wasnt the job for me.
hand on gun, as long as she didnt undo the thumbsnap, i can understand....... with the verbal abuse she was outta line as long as it wasnt 'verbal judo' used to try and make you comply with her commands.
