My guess... is NO. Read below.
Americans have such a massive guilt trip about past racial injustice (particularly slavery and Jim Crow) that race "leaders" always cry racism cuz it gets them freebies (preferences, affirmative action) or a pass (accountability). White majority just shakes its head and complies.
Given the way its going, there will be NO END to racism (as currently formulated) because racism conveys advantages to the socalled victims--from preferences to quotas to increased visibility, there's too much $$$ and power at stake with playing the race card for people to voluntarily give up that card.
So whitey will just have to take it up the ass with no lube until there's a backlash and people will just say.. "Cry racism all you want but I'm going to expect the same results from you as anyone else. If you end up in the bottom of the barrel its because of your choice."
There's a myth in America called victimization. Everyone loves to play the victim. The big myth is that it absolves you of responsibility for your choices since there's always someone else to blame. This is a myth because victims are often victimizers themselves--whoever said blacks or other minorities can't be racists is an idiot. Ignorance is just as repugnant regardless of whoever practices it. Just because you were victimized in the past doesn't give you license to give up and blame the world... you have to get up. It's the latter reality that current racial discourse NEVER addresses.
There IS a time to move on... right?
