norton firewall strips the referer: header.

pisses the fuck out of me.

when is it the responsibility of a firewall to do this sort of shit? that's more of a "privacy" thing and should be tied to a browser.. it also breaks RFC purposely. forget hotlink protection or web stats.. bah.

i could understand hiding the X-Forwarded-For or Via headers.. but christ.. Referer isn't that big of a deal to reveal.
