I just want to say one thing. You grow up straight and you don't have to spend your whole youth wondering if your parents are going to throw you out of the house if they find out. You don't have to worry if your friends will all turn on you becuase you're not like them. You don't have to worry about being fired from jobs if your boss fiinds out. When you are Gay and you finally come out of the closet, you find out that the shame that has been placed upon you is not yours, but that of the small minded people around you. You finally learn that you are just as important as every other one of God's children. You learn that your friends are the people who love you no matter what. And you gain a sense of self-esteem that you have never known. This is Gay Pride, Pathfinder. I don't want special rights, I only want the same rights that you have.
Oh, and one last thing. You stop naggin' me about my Gay Pride Parades and I'll keep my mouth shut about your Straight Pride Party. I believe they call it the Super Bowl!!!
