Unfortunately,race car drivers die all the time doing what they love doing.At times it's mechanical failure,more often it's driver error.Human nature would make me believe that any driver that survives a crash will instinctively blame the machine rather than accept it was his own skills or judgment at that moment that caused the crash.
You may have been following the driver.But you weren't the driver.You don't know 100% what really caused the crash.You only know what he wanted you to know.
