The only bikes i know of, personally, are BMW's that can handle high miles like the harleys. My bud has a Beemer that has 100k miles on it and still running like a top. That said i have 45k miles on my 99 lowrider, over 60k miles on my 86 Sportster, and i couldnt come close to telling you how many miles are on my 77 Shovel. Show me another bike that is worth more today than it sold new for? My shovel is worth alot more than the price it sold for. And to all you sport bike riders, it isnt about riding 500 mph to ever place you go its about getting toghter with your buddys, going out for a nice long ride, and enjoying the ride. Its all about comradery, ever notice when your out on your sport bike not other bikers wave or acknowledge you , but when "Bikers" pass each other they wave to each other? Like the saying goes, If i have to explain, you wouldnt understand. Harleys are timeless shitty old technology (even though the new Fatheads are as reliable as anything on the road) and all sportbikes are made to throw away since they dont hold up for shit.
This is my rant and im stick by it. Id give up porn, pussy and beer before id give up my harleys.
