You are confusing "private/public property" and a "private/public place". Private property can be a public place - a sports stadium being a good example. The owners of the stadium cannot do absolutely anything they want. For example, should a football team who owns their own stadium be able to have a policy and put up a sign that says "no jews allowed" because it is "private property"? I don't think so. Good for the ACLU. You Americans are such pussies when it comes to your rights, so someone's got to stand up for you. You Americans all bitch and complain about liberals and the ACLU, but your country would basically be a hybrid mix of pre-war Nazi Germany and apartheid-era South Africa without them.
