OK.. Not primarily over money - they move because the quality of life is vastly superior. You may also be surprised at the standard of healthcare and education system in "3rd world countries". (OK.. ain't taking about the Congo)
I've never met anyone who escaped "real developed countries" who had any interest in returning to them. What for?
On the $800/month living costs - that is not what he earns. Earnings are the same irrespective of "rich or poor" country. He can bank the rest of his net revenue (and, can't say for that specific country), but often bank em tax free.
Try telling the "real developed country" govt you object to the crap air you breath and don't want to pay any more taxes and see what they say!
