He came out with all the blags and bullshit when he first got famous and tried to live up to it. It's all been proven to be lies.
He was in Japan teaching English. He took classes like everyone else and became good at martial arts. He was never a master or anything special.
He's never worked for the goverment unless it was as an informer.

Van Damme is a guy that was good at Karate and wanted to be an action hero. Made a couple of good films early on. He got into the celeb lifestyle and hooked on coke. Now he's just a fuck up.
Seriously though. If you read up on Seagal it's funny stuff. They could make a great comedy out of his life story.
