PRINT ADULT ripped me off!!!
I have had Print Adult design me 2 sites within the last month. Everything was going good. We paid. They delivered. So I decided to have them do another site for me. The started working on this site 3 weeks ago. After 3 days they shows me a preview of the gui which was cool. I was really grooving with it.
They told me that they will have the complete site done by Thursday Sept 29. The weekend of the 30th comes rolling around and I don't hear from Keith. He isn't online like his usual 18 hrs/day. He isn't responding to his emails. So I posted on here to have him call me hoping that someone that knew how to get a hold of him tell him he needs to call me. I don't hear anything from him until he IMs me on Monday. He tells me that he is having a problem with one of his designers. Because we had a good working relationship from before I said that's fine but when will it be done. Keith told me Friday October 7th.
Wouldn't he just hire another designer by Monday if that designer was lagging? Well we get close to Friday the 7th and we chatted on Friday morning via IM. I asked him when it will be done and be live. He tells me that only the database will be working. <How could you only deliver 1 part of a complete site when the whole thing is due?> That was 11am. I don't hear from him all day Friday. I call him at 5pm PST to see what's going on. Didn't hear a response. I shot him an email asking for a refund because he has breached our agreement. I extended him once already. I finally get an email from him giving all these excuses of why it isn't done. I call him and we get in a heated argument. I asked for a refund and he said no and that he'll deliver a complete site by Wednesday Oct. 13.
Why? He's already been late and given broken promises. Because I didn't hear from him on Friday when the project was due nor did he return my calls or emails on Saturday. I had retained another firm to do the project.
Because of him being late another directory has been launched before us. Time of market is crucial because now the consumer is split on where to spend their advertising money. In turn that costs us money.
I simply asked for a refund because he was late twice and I have absolutely no confidence that he (Keith/PrintAdult) will deliver this wednesday. I feel that on Wednesday he'll simply avoid me by emailing me and tell me he doesn't have it. He said that he can't refund my money because he has already hired another designer and paid him. Yes he has nothing to show me accept the simply GUI that was thrown together the 1st three days of the project.
Whether he has hundreds of clients that he does good for (as he says will stick up for him), he simply hasn't done good to me. I just simply want to cut my loses and get my refund of $388.
