all i have to say about nortons is......
99% of people that i get asked to help them with their computers because it has a virus HAS NORTONS, not only do they usually have nortons , and it usually doesn't find a damn thing , but they tie up their computers with this useless hog.. This might at least be "ok" if it was impossible virii or strange new virii , but were talking about the most common infections known to man , the easiest virii to detect , and nortons simply gives everything a clean bill.
Put it this way , of the hundreds of virus infected computers i have seen , the vast majority had nortons , and it couldn't detect or couldn't remove ANY of them. Not one.. Of those hundreds of computers , every single one of them was detected using
www.antivirus.com free online scan.. didn't cost a penny.
As far as virus removal goes .. i haven't seen anything that works most of the time yet.
www.antivirus.com will remove simple ones , but it wont remove hard ones, haven't found anything that would. ( other than manual removal )
