IMHO if it's under 30k, I wouldnt do it. Consolidate your payments and pay that shit off over time unless you are just flat busted broke and are having a hard time keeping the lights on.

Someone post that crazy cabbie bankruptcy filing. If you ever want to be a high success and be proud of yourself, filing for bankruptcy should be your last choice. Of course, if you have no other choice, then take it.
