It's obvious he's doing the quarter mile. Also take into account the speedo is in Kilometers per hour. He's clearly using some big slicks, that he heated up during the burnout. The slicks are what explain the rediculous acceleration from 0-100 km/h. On street tires, it'd spin through the first four gears, I bet.
To accelerate like that in a civic, he's got 450+ hp. More than do-able on a stock-sleeved B series motor. The best part about this video, is none of the v8 guys can accept that it's a real video of a honda going fast. Look at the comments section. They're all calling BS on it, saying there's no way it could accelerate from 0-100km/h that fast (at the beginning), which clearly shows not many car guys understand the basic concept of burnout physics.
