If they "hate" the US because of foreign policies - sure, there's some cred in that. Substantial numbers of these "policies" are so wonderful any asylum patient would approve and "notable" the world over for their insanity. As for "hate" - often not without good and just cause. Fortunately, most folks don't hate, but that's swelled in numbers, especially in "terrorist orgs" thanks to the clever recruitment campaign by the current resident at the Whitehouse. Is that the "American influence and power" you mean? bin Laden would smile.
