Craziest car story I have didn't involve me, but an old friend from my hometown.
My buddy Nick, was driving with 2 of his friends down Clark Ave, in front of our local mall. The driver had just recently bought the vehicle, and was playing around with different racing fuels, and mods to get more power.
For whatever stupid reasons, the passengers of the vehicle we're hitting NOS, trying to get that quick little passout high ravers seem to love, and the driver thought it would be a good idea to take a hit also.
So here's the final scenario. 3 Kids, high on NOS, driving at least 90 down a semi-residential street. Driver passes out from his hit, ends up drifting into oncoming traffic. The car does a series of flips and turns. When the aftermath is over, my friend Nick, who wasn't wearing a seat belt, was thrown half way out of his window, and had his head decapitated from his upper jaw by a lightpost.
My girl and I heard about much like most of our friends within minutes. Lakewood is a small, pretty close community. We we're hanging out down the street, and ran to the scene almost immediately.
Very sad moment watching Nick's mother identify his body at the scene by lifting a jacket of her son's decapitated head lying 50 feet away from the car and his body.
