Night activities: Walking Street, beer bars on any Soi, Lucifers Disco & Marine Disco. Just hit Walking Street at night and once it all closes, just ask any whore where to go.
Day activities: Snorkeling, jet skies, rent a boat, islands. Just hit the beach in the day and you will find all of that there. You will also find Dive Shops on the smaller side streets. Though for beach and diving, head to southern Thailand for the best that area has to offer. Nothing special in Pattaya for those.
Equipment: You will be better of getting that BEFORE you go there. You will not find it in Pattaya. Bangkok is your best bet, try World Trade Center (Zen shopping mall), they have a few stores in there but I'm sure it would have to be ordered.
