Not true, in the past I've converted some sites better than 1:50 with targeted mailer traffic for months at a time. Also, when those discount sites came out I was doing consistently 1:45 with a certain program throwing hundreds of sales at them. I agree that no site can convert ANY traffic at anything close to those numbers, but it's not like no one has ever seen 1:50 before.
