Personally, I find that Sam's Club and Avery Design pro to be the best. Time consuming, but the best.

Software: free to design your own fucking cards the way you want.
Cardstock: Depending on what you get, $4.50 for 1000 pages of 10 cards each or $14.00 for 100 pages of 10 cards. The first is if you don't mind the perforations on the edges, the second is for the "Clean edge" model that Avery puts out.
Ink for color printer: Probably in the $40 range.

But when it's all said and done, you have either a thousand or ten thousand for only about $50 and time printing them. And you have the design to use over and over and over again. That's a deal at twice the price.
