You know if there is one thing I have learned in my life is that there are ignorant people everywhere.
Even in Canada there is enourmous prejudice! It's one of the reasons why both my husband and I left. The stupid fight between the French and English continues. I get people in my home town that have the nerve to question if I am French or not because I attended an english university and I'm half native.
My husband gets bullshit from the Quebecois because he is 6ft tall and only half Acadien and can also speak english. Plus his name isn't "LeBlanc or LaPointe, etc."
All things considered equal. People who are determined to hate, will find an excuse to hate.
Just like this bullshit about "Saving our culture." So What! If 5 years down the road 90% of France is Arabic. They are still humanbeings and how they will treat the true french is going to be based on how the true french treat the Arabs today.
Trust me, some days because of my accent and the way I use the words in French language. Even though I white and Canadienne, I often find myself treated no better then a "hahahahahaha."
And many of the true French can't understand why most of my friends are immigrants and I hang out at Chateau Rouge.
Furthermore as for defending a country's culture. Most in western civilization should shut the fuck up.

In the end, cultures are ment to change, grow, develop and immigration is part of that.
In my opinion, when we try to control immigration we are slapping God in the face and reducing everyone's citizenship to that of slaverly and serfdom.
