Bleh. You're not going to do anything, your wife will be fine, this thread should just die out before you make anymore statements that you won't follow through with.
Obviously if you were going to do something, you wouldn't post about it on a message forum pre or post retribution.
Oh, and yes, the attacker is to blame, but your wife did nothing to stop it.
Let's review the facts:
1. Drinking
2. Name calling
Ok, at this point, if I was a woman and I was around people who were drinking and someone called me a whore and/or hit on me, I would leave. I would go outside and either hail/call a taxi, or just get on a bus and take it to the nearest McDonalds or Wendys and sit inside with a coffee while I wait for my husband to pick me up. Problem solved, nobody hurt.
3. Slammed against a wall
Ok, at this point, I would be at the "fight or flight" response and I would either leave RUNNING out the door, or I would be prepared to yell/scream for help and fight back as best as a woman can.
So far we've had two opportunities to avoid taking an ass kicking. Your wife instead chose to mouth someone off AFTER already having been slammed against a wall.
Not smart.
