cheap testing isn't the total answer.
the real issue is incubation. and with greed being what it is and that fact that it is very difficult to quarantine sex performers on some island and guard them against sexual contact while they wait out the incubation period between sex scenes, you will have infections happening during incubation periods for most STDs including HIV. and HIV is not the most common infection passed between sex workers---probably the insidious chlamydia is---which can really fuckup the female reproductive system over time, but no one hears the press on that---many of the people on this board have this and don't know it right now---it is epidemic in the party sport fucking scene, and easily passed with oral sex.
i'm surprised there aren't many more new infections.
until there is a workable vaccine for HIV (which will probably happen within 5-10 years) this is the lethal russian roulette game of mercenary sex with unknown partners.
2 partial solutions---no condom shooting only for couples who are already in a personal sexual relationship, and condoms for everyone else.
