I have NEVER beaten my dog, nor will I ever.
Yet, he still learns and knows he has done something wrong and never to do it again.
When I point at my dog and have a certein look on my face he knows what's up and learns from it.
Beating a dog is not only absolutely wrong, it is very stupid. I'm not going to repeat what others said above.
