Never read much into the psych of colors, but when I sold cars it was a rule that all contracts be filled out in blue, all prices be written in blue marker and under no circumstances should there ever be a red or green pen in the sales office. I was told the reason is that blue calms people and puts them into a mood where they're ready to buy.

Frankly I always felt it was a load of crap, but they did consistently sell more cars than any other dealership in that state.
