1) Yeah, spring break is the busiest beach time.
2) I don't know if people look forward to summer like they do up north. Most people complain its too hot in the summer. Most true Floridians don't hit the beaches in January, its too cold.
3) I don't think we are getting any more Hurricanes than normal. I have lived here over 25 years and never saw anything like last year and don't think we will again for a long time. Until Katrina hit it had been 40 years since the last time broward country took a direct hit from a hurricane.
I was also here for Andrew, that was bad Hurricane and hope I never take a direct hit from storm like that.
I have lived here for over 25 years and I love it here.
