you can't trust anyone because this is a business, and they are all your direct competitors
at the same time, however, you must take risks, and develope business relationships
if you are starting small, then start with small transactions to build levels of trust with new people to do business with
I know that is a bunch of bs, but it seems to me the only way to get started
after a while you will deveope a group of collegues you can trust and then build on your business with stronger interactions and bigger risks
