same thing happens here in Portland, too problem is when you tell the magazine owners, they blame the advertisers and nothing gets done it is a fucked up deal
smart thing to do is register your content with the library of congress ( no shit) and ten the penalties are much more severe for content theft but you will still have to go after them to enforce it , and then be able to collect etc..... most of these people have no assets or anything other than cash and they are just hustlers so good luck in getting anything out of it.
