You have to apply at you local human services office( or whatever it's called locally ) if you qualify wil depend on how much you make and if you have kids and how many. A single man with no job and no kids? Sorry you probally won't get food stamps. Also if you car is worth too much you can get turned down. So if you get laid off adn stil can't get work they tell you to sell your car for food first before they'll give you food stamps. Of course after you sell your car you can't get a job because you have no way to get to work, but that's our government for you.
