Not load balancing... drive syncs! God I hated
uploading a site/page and then running off to submit
only to find out that it worked from say 2 of 3 load
balanced servers because the drive syncs hadn't run
yet. Get your users asses banned for that lame ass
scripting. None of the top TGPs or Link sites like a 404
and the freehost user pulls his hair out cause he can
see the site.
You wanna run a "real" freehost, learn to setup a
server farm first. Then you can play with the morality
of ads and (shudder) redirects.
Like I said, I don't care if I lost 60% of my click throughs.
I can live with that for the free bandwidth, but for
F's sake, run the server as if it was any commercial
server! I won't use freehosts anymore because 90%
of the people that run them can't even configure
a server at a junior admin level.
