I know a guy pretty well who got involved in a grow op. They had a house rigged up nicely. 8 HUGE plants, producing about 3-4 pounds per plant.

Thats 24 pounds minimum. These guys were paid out at $800 or $900 per pound - I cant remember really. They definitely were NOT getting rich off this. Especially since they shared the profits between 4 people.. and they paid a shitload of cash out upfront for expenses..

But where does that 6 billion figure come from? Thats like 1.5 MILLION pounds of weed sold at $4000 per pound... no way.
