From what I've heard, there are a number of people who will pay people on food stamps like .50ct on the dollar (around here) and that is how some of them buy things their assistance would not cover.

I recall about 10 years ago when the welfare system was a bit more rebust atleast in this state, where a good friend of the time's aunt used to get heckled everytime she would go to the grocery. We'd go over there after school sometimes (friend did errands for aunty) and she'd be bitching about someone making a remark like, "I wish I could get Pepsi and cigarettes like the welfare folk". I always thought it was priceless because of the amount of cigs, and pepsi they'd drink, and get all offended.

His "aunty" was a clear cut stereotype of what some of you are referring to. She was like 5' 3" or maybe 4". She weighed prolly a good 250 lbs if I had to guess as she weighed more than me, and I am 6'. Smoke, drank, watched TV all day. Had not worked in a good decade, and was on all kinds of pills for shit.

What a sad existance.
