Anyway, I actually was not referring to your work when I mentioned clip art.
But since you chimed in on this I will say something about your work.
First, I think it's fine and useable, but not fantastic.
Second, I think your style of work is antiquated. People have been drawing your style of work for 100 years already.
Third, you are correct to submit this old, over done style of line and ink art because, as you can see, many logo seekers are stuck on stupid and have no desire to try something that dosn't resemble the stuff they see on other websites. They just want to "fit into the norm" and don't want to risk getting comments like I get. Too bad they don't realize that after this contest is over all the people who hate my submission will remember it and forget about the other logo's.
Hmmmmmmmmm? A logo that people will remember? Yeah, why make one of those?
Further, surfers don't give a shit about how "good" your logo is. If they did then Green Guy would have been fucked a long time ago as well as Google.
Surfers only need a recognizable logo to identify you uniquely and your logo only makes me think of Walt Disney.
