You're going to fly to the font of western civilization, the home of the Renaissance, a place with more history per square mile than our entire country...

Oh well. If you're going to do that, check out the resort town of Greece. Its a lovely country, and all the young tourists in bikinis will be there. Do a search on the web, especially for UK travel sites, and you will find what you need.
On the other hand, if you want to do something you can't do in California, Florida, and dozens of other places closer to home... Try Edinburgh, Paris, London, and Amsterdam. In that order.
