Thats always horrible news, but keep your head up and think positively as more and more people are surviving cancer now adays than opposed to 15-20 years ago. The advancements they have made even since the 90's is well beyond impressive.

My mom got breast cancer about 13 years ago and was told it doesnt look good and they gave her 11 months to live. She beat it and survived passed that "5 year" survival rate that doctors give cancer patients. 10 years almost to the month she got breast cancer again on the opposite side and was given a bleak outlook. She has since beat it a second time and been given a complete and clean bill of health.

The biggest killer in cancer patients isnt so much the cancer taking you as it is your lifestyle you keep as you are going through the treatments. Your immune system is completely defunct when going through treatments, and something as simple as a dirty doorknob could take you down. Alot more people could survive their cancer episode if only they would change their living habits and keep a safe distance from germs, virus and bacteria.

Ive lived through 3 bouts of cancer with immediate family and it is a very trying and demanding time, but if you can give comfort and support even from a distance it will make all the difference.
