But yeah you do develop a tolerance for it, just gotta step it up or try another sushi place. Wasabi and chile both vary a lot.. I've noticed like 4X difference in the sushi bars I've been to. The belief is that wasabi kills any bacteria in raw fish, so eat it up!
Try ordering your sushi chef a beer and ask for the good stuff, they might make it fresh for you.
